In case you don’t know what a gunner is, or if you want to figure out if you are one, I’ve developed this quiz to help you.

You Might Be a Gunner If…

You sit in the front row, add 1 point.

You have asked a question in class, add 1 point for each question. (If you can’t remember how many questions you’ve asked, you can just stop now, gunner.)

You have worn your scrubs when not in anatomy lab, add 1 point.

Your professor knows you by name, add 2 points for each professor.

You have aced an exam, add 2 points.

You have bragged about acing an exam, add 5 points.

You didn’t ace an exam, but told everyone that you did, add 100 points.

You are in more than four student organizations, add 1 point for each additional one.

You hold an office in your student organization, add 1 for each office.

You have covered an entire dry erase board with all the steps of the TCA cycle, add 4 points….and please stop doing that.

You have never skipped a lecture, add 1 point.

You have corrected a professor in class, add 1000 points.

You like having lecture quizzes and have signed a petition to keep them from being abolished, add 6 points.

You have referred to yourself as “doctor” on at least one occasion, add 3 points.

You find this quiz offensive and not at all funny, add 1 million points.

This is the funniest thing you’ve read all day, minus 100 points.

If you scored a 10 or above, congratulations!  You are a gunner!  (and you will make a great surgeon someday…)

If you scored between a 5 and a 10, congrats, because you are also a gunner.

If you scored between a 0 and a 5, you might fool some people, but you are probably still a gunner.

If you scored a 0 or below, you are awesome and we should be friends.  Also, you should probably be studying instead of reading this because you may be close to failing out of med school.
