Ready for Rotations

I guess it is time to let the world know that I officially passed my boards.  It is a pretty good feeling, and I am glad I can put Step 1 behind me!

Now…on to rotations!  My first rotation is going to be in family medicine.  I am a little nervous for how things are going to go.  I am schedule with one doctor for a week, and then another week with a different doctor.  Then, if all goes according to plan, I will have my baby exactly on my due date, take four weeks off, and then return for two more weeks of rotations.

It sounds nice, in theory, but I have a feeling something will go wrong.  I am at 37 weeks now, which is considered “full term,” meaning this baby could come ANY DAY.  Pretty crazy.  Hopefully she is a punctual baby, but I can’t really count on that.  I have no idea what will happen if I go into labor really early or really late, but I am just crossing my fingers I don’t have to find out.  So far my pregnancy has gone very well and things have worked out, so I am just hoping that my good luck continues.

I can’t believe it is almost July!  Seems like just yesterday I had a little poppy seed inside me, and now I have a honeydew melon!  I am ready to get rid of this giant belly, but I know I am going to miss all these little baby kicks.

I have been enjoying Arizona so far.  I love sitting by our pool in the mornings and going for a little swim.  I have also been taking lots of naps while I still can.  Monday I start orientation, which is good.  I am running out of things to occupy my time, so it will be nice to get busy again…instead of just sitting around waiting for this baby!
