I am done with Year One of med school…which sounds pretty weird to say. It seems like it just started, and now it’s over! It has been one heck of a year, and I’ve got to say, summer break has never looked so good.
The end of a quarter is always pretty hard. We have a lot of practicals and exams, but this time it was especially rough. It has just been such a long year, even though it’s gone by fast. Med school has been the most challenging thing I have ever undertaken, and over the last few weeks I have just felt so burnt out.
Honestly, I have no idea how I managed to study for finals this week. And it still hasn’t hit me that it’s really over. I want to cry, I want to celebrate, and really, I just want to sleep.
